Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free, a unique coalition of Governors' spouses, Federal
agencies, public and private organizations, is an initiative to prevent the use of alcohol by children
ages 9 to 15. It is the only national effort that focuses on alcohol use in this age group.
The State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors
mission is to protect the public by setting standards of qualifications, training and experience to
those who represent themselves to the public as alcohol and drug abuse counselors or problem
gambling counselors and by promoting high standards of professional competence of those engaged
in the practice of alcohol and drug abuse counseling or problem gambling counseling.
The Community Council on Youth (CCOY) Incorporated in 1989 to serve the entire
Carson City area, CCOY is a grass roots organization whose mission is "Working
for the Advancement of Youth." Their vision is to contribute to the advancement of a
safe and healthy community that works together to support the welfare and ideals of
youth and their families.
DrugWatch.com is dedicated to providing balanced and unbiased information on drugs and medications that
are currently on the market, or were previously available worldwide. They feature a comprehensive list of prescription
and over-the-counter medications, as well as the associated side effects. Their goal is not only to warn about potentially
harmful side effects but to help consumers determine whether a medication has addictive qualities as well.
FACE is a national non-profit organization that supports sensible alcohol policies and practices
through the development of messages, strategies and training designed to create public awareness
and action on alcohol issues. FACE envisions a nation where public policy, community organizations
and individuals come together to reduce the negative effects of underage drinking and the misuse
and abuse of alcohol by adults.
Family and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada (FACT) is a non-profit organization dedicated
to helping children, adults, and families overcome and heal the traumas of abuse, neglect, and violence.
Partially funded by the United Way of Southern Nevada, FACT provides individual, family, and group
therapy, as well as prevention and education services. FACT is currently the largest agency in
Clark County dedicated exclusively to this mission.
Goshen Community Development Coalition's mission is to ensure the availability of the attainment of the dream for all of our
Community Partners it is understood that we shall all agree to actively strive to reduce and eliminate
strife, malice, racism, poverty and deprivation within our communities and neighborhoods.
Humboldt Volunteer Hospice is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization. HVH's mission is to "Honor and support individuals in
the community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness. We will be there for families in the
comfort of their own home, to make their journey through this difficult time with the most possible ease."
It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that everyone is doing drugs, that underage drinking is a rite of passage.
But the truth is, most teens do not drink, do not smoke, and do not use other drugs. Most parents do not allow teenagers
access to alcohol in their home. Most of us live and play drug free. From this idea, the "I Am One Of Many"
campaign has sprung. This campaign encourages people to make a statement declaring that they are one of many
who do not use drugs. It also informs adults that most local youth make good choices and positively contribute to

Join Together Northern Nevada (JTNN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the
impact of substance abuse on Washoe County by improving access to prevention, intervention and
treatment services.

planning to the creation of national-quality campaign advertising, MOST of Us® implements
successful projects around the country.
The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA) mission is to advocate for all
children and families affected by alcoholism and other drug dependencies. They offer free posters
and pamphlets to convey their message.
Nevada Health Centers, Inc. is a private non-profit community health center that provides
health services throughout the state of Nevada. At present, they have over thirty medical and
dental centers and other health related programs. Everyone is welcome at their health facilities
and they offer a sliding fee scale for uninsured patients that is based on family income.
Nevada Partners is a community-based, non-profit organization located in the Southern
Nevada Enterprise Community in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Nevada Partners’ mission is to create
an educated workforce by providing comprehensive education and career services to youth and
adults in the community.
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) provides national leadership,
coordination and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. OJJDP
supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated
prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects
public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored
to the needs of juveniles and their families.
Positive Action is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program that improves academics,
behavior, and character. For over 25 years, more than 13,000 families, schools, and community
organizations have benefited and continue to grow through Positive Action.
