On June 18th, the coalition helped the Pershing County Library bring magician, Craig Ferguson, to Lovelock.
Craig not only performed magic tricks but he also had messages about alcohol and substance abuse prevention
and making good choices to share with the audience. Craig performed two shows - both open to the public.

Near the end of August, Frontier Community Coalition participated in Lovelock Mania - a promotional effort coordinated
by the Greater Pershing Partnership, Lovelock businesses and organizations to promote shopping locally. FCC
distributed alcohol and substance abuse prevention materials and promoted the coalition vision, mission and
purpose with attendees.

Frontier Community Coalition partnered with the Lovelock Swimming Pool to bring free family fun nights swim
events in July and August. These events allowed kids to participate in safe, alcohol and substance free evenings
with their families. Admission was free - the only requisite was that children must be accompanied by parents.

In September, Frontier Community Coalition invited Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) program coordinator,
Keely Hedderman, to the Sept. LCC meeting to give a presentation on the ignition interlock program. Keely also
gave the ignition interlock presentation to district attorneys and judges in Humboldt, Lander and Pershing Counties.
After this presentation, she did the same at the Humboldt and Lander County LCC meetings.
