Funds Available for Prevention Programs
July 1, 2008: Frontier Community Coalition (FCC) announces a Request for Applications to fund substance abuse prevention programs, practices and strategies. Funding is available to all private not-for-profit organizations or local government entities providing prevention services in Humboldt, Lander, and Pershing Counties. The complete Request for Application (RFA) and supporting documents are posted below.
Anticipated funding: $27,000 from the Nevada State Infrastructure Grant. The purpose of this funding is the implementation of evidence-based direct service substance abuse prevention programs, practices, and strategies at the community level. All activities associated with the funding must be for the implementation of those activities that meet an identified need within the community and are prioritized in Frontier's Comprehensive Community Prevention Plan (CCPP).
A Bidders' Conference will be held on July 9, 2008 beginning at 12:00 noon at the 6th Judicial Juvenile Office located at 737 E. Fairgrounds Road in Winnemucca. Participants may dial in and listen to the Bidders Conference via conference line at 1-518-825-1300 Access code: 21213.
The Letter of Intent is due July 11th and the Application is due July 24th at 4:00 p.m. Please review the RFA for a complete time line.
